My wedding speech

Good evening everyone. On behalf of my wife and I, we would like to thank you for attending our wedding and sharing our special day with us. We are delighted that you were able to come to our wedding. I can’t imagine a happier way to start a married life than with our family and friends around us.

Thank you very much Danny for your kind words, now I am a new male member in your family, I hope we have more time to get to know each other and to watch out for each other.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Wendy’s mother Amy for giving me your blessing to marry your beautiful and intelligent daughter. I hope that you don’t feel that you’ve lost a daughter, but rather have gained a son who cannot speak Taiwanese and can barely speak mandarin. Don’t worry; I will brush it up although it is right to say Wendy’s Cantonese is getting better by the minute and soon will overtake my mandarin!!

大人,謝謝您的信任,我也不會辜負你的任,我會用我的生命使世界上最人.

I would also like thank my parents for everything they have done in raising me. They have loved and supported me through every stage of my life and It was them who encouraged me to come back to UK to study a master at Warwick and if it was not them I would not be able to 1) Meet up with my wife Wendy and 2) come to Oxford for my doctoral study.

We’d also like to thank our best man my brother William and ushers Ant, Denis and Henry for their wonderful job. They have done us proud today and I’m sure you will all agree that they all look hot, sexy and cute (oh and of course INTELLIGENT). I think they deserve a round of applause.

Now comes to the bit “It started when…” Wendy and I met at Warwick where we were reading our masters. We were actually taking Japanese together and trust me back then I did not look like someone who will be married two years later. I record Wendy said when she first met me she thought I was a “BBC, gay, first year undergraduate”. Many of you who knew me then will probably know why. -- This faded part I think I was too nervous and forgot to say them haha

So, to my wife, - you look absolutely beautiful. Thank you for everything you have done. You know everything about me and love me just the same. I have my faults, yet you still agreed to marry me. I am extremely lucky today to be the one to marry you - and I hope this is the start of many happy years together.

A final and big thank you goes to our bridesmaids Margaret and Nancy for looking beautiful and fantastic. Ladies and Gentlemen, please be upstanding. I would like to propose a toast to the bridesmaids.
